The fraud unfolded when Vijayeta received a deceptive message regarding a parcel delivery, prompting her to click a link that led to a fake website. This unfortunate decision resulted in her revealing her credit card details, which were then exploited by the scammers.

After the unauthorized transaction of approximately EUR 1,730.76 was made at the Hyatt Regency hotel in France, Vijayeta quickly took action by blocking her card and reporting the incident.
